EFFECTS OF SYNTHESIS PARAMETERS ON ZEOLITE ZSM-48 IN A SOLID REACTION MIXTURE SYSTEM

Synthesis parameters, including 1,6-hexanediamine content,alkali content and the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio, of zeolite ZSM-48 in a solid reaction mixture system have strong influences on the characteristics and crystallization rate of the crystalline products. When the amount of 1,6-hexanediamine is the same as that of silicon dioxide, the Na2O/SiO2 ratio is 0.08 and the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio is high, the as-synthesized zeolites as catalyst suppports possess optimum catalytic properties for the CO hydrogenation to produce light olefins. The catalytic measurement also showed that zeolites ZSM-48 srpthesized in different systems have different catalytic properties for CO hydrogenation. Introduction of K into the synthesis mixtures improves the catalytic properties of the as-synthesized zeolites, but does not strongly influence the zeolite structure and crystallization rate.
