Abstract: | Frequency selective surface (FSS) is a two-dimensional periodicstructure which has prominent characteristics of bandpass orbandblock when interacting with electromagnetic waves. In thispaper, the thickness, the dielectric constant, the element graph andthe arrangement periodicity of an FSS medium are investigated byGenetic Algorithm (GA) when an electromagnetic wave is incident onthe FSS at a wide angle, and an optimized FSS structure andtransmission characteristics are obtained. The results show that theoptimized structure has better stability in relation to incidentangle of electromagnetic wave and preserves the stability of centrefrequency even at an incident angle as large as 80°, therebylaying the foundation for the application of FSS to curved surfacesat wide angles. |
