| Abstract: | The digital image correlation-based plane strain measurement technique is adopted in the teaching of mechanics in the materials laboratory. Students are asked to determine the mechanical properties and to have the visualized strain data of low carbon steel and Al--Mg alloy under the uniaxial tension. Students' comprehension of the theoretical knowledge is enhanced, they are motivated in the study and their scientific analysis ability is cultivated. |
