| Abstract: | The color parameters of carbon coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering of a graphite target onto substrates of stainless steel without a sublayer and with a titanium sublayer are calculated. By numerical modeling, the refractive indices and extinction coefficients for the titanium sublayer and carboniferous film as well as the volume content of titanium dioxide in the sublayer are determined.
