Abstract:Spin torque and current-induced magnetic switching (dynamics) in spin valve nanopillars is considered theoretically in the diffusive transport regime. Basic characteristics of the precessional states are discussed. Current-induced switching in other spin valves is analyzed, particularly in ferromagnetic single-electron transistors based on magnetic molecules.
