A particular non-atomistic orthomodular poset |

| Abstract: | Every atomic orthomodular lattice is atomistic. We show that the corresponding statement for orthomodular posets fails. The result is of interest in the study of the Algebraic Structure of Quantum Mechanics, see 5]. |
