Analytical approach to the study of molecular rotation in liquids

The rotational thermal motion of molecules is investigated by the combined use of the stochastic rotation operator, the Euler-Langevin equations of Brownian motion and the Krylov-Bogoliubov method of solving nonlinear differential equations. The results are applied to dielectric relaxation by orientational polarization and to nuclear magnetic relaxation by a variety of mechanisms.
