Synthesis of 5-amino derivatives of ethyl 2-methylthiothieno-[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylate and their reaction with hydrazine

A study has been made of the reaction of the ethyl esters of 5-amino-, 5-ethoxy-methyleneamino-, and 5-acetylamino-2-methylthiothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acids with hydrazine.
