| Abstract: | Reactions of CF3IOF2 with Fluoride Ion Acceptors: A New Method for the Preparation of Iodosyl Compounds CF3IOF2 reacts with the Lewis acids BF3, AsF5 and SbF5 to form the iodosyl compounds IO[BF4], IO[AsF6], IO[SbF6], and IO[Sb2F11]. The conditions of the preparation, the 19F-n.m.r. spectra, the Raman spectra and the thermal decomposition of the new compounds are described. |
