| Abstract: | Defects in Al single crystal thin films prepared by epitaxial growth on mica were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Dislocations, subgrain boundaries, grain of different orientation and separated polycrystalline regions were observed in the single crystal matrix with density dependent on the pressure of residual gases. |
