| Abstract: | The nature of the hydrogen bond is investigated by means of a comparative analysis of some hydrogen bonded and hydrogen-like
bonded systems. It is concluded that the hydrogen bond is determined by electrostatic interaction between the proton and the
region of high electron density in the neighbour molecule. |
