Ground state degeneracy and ferromagnetism in a spin glass

Abstract:We prove three results for the two-dimensional Ising spin glass model on a square lattice: (a) finite entropy for the ground state; (b) ferromagnetism for low concentrations of antiferromagnetic bonds and low temperatures; (c) vanishing magnetization for a spin glass with equal concentrations of ferro- and antiferromagnetic bonds.
