Abstract: | Two cobalt coordination polymers [CoII2(ida)2(H2O)2]n ( 1 ) and [Na2CoIII2(ida)4(H2O)4]n·2nH2O ( 2 ) (H2ida = iminodiacetic acid) have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 exhibits a two‐dimensional framework, in which two cobalt atoms exhibit different coordination environments: one is equatorially coordinated by two ida ligands, while another is coordinated by two water molecules and four ida ligands. It is most interesting that, in compound 2 , the ida ligands exhibit different coordination modes. The organic coordination anions [CoIII(ida)2]— are linked up by sodium ions to form a two‐dimensional layer. |
