Pt6Cl12·(1,2,4‐C6H3Cl3), a Structurally Characterized Cocrystallization Product of Pt6Cl12

The reaction of platinum(II) chloride with 1,2,4‐trichlorobenzene gives the novel platinum complex Pt₆Cl₁₂·(1,2,4‐C₆H₃Cl₃). It is the first example of an cocrystallization product of platinum(II) chloride and organic molecules whose crystal structure has been established.
