Spin-Down in a Rotating Stratified Fluid: Part I

Stress driven flow of a stratified rotating fluid is studied in the context of a linearized Boussinesq cylindrical model, with particular interest in the long term quasi-steady state. The importance of the non-linear terms is estimated by considering a numerical model for the full non-linear equations.
