| Abstract: | Summary A new rapid method has been developed to determine Reid Vapour Pressure (RVP) for stabilized crude oils by gas chromatography. The quantity of light hydrocarbons dissolved in crude oil was measured directly by gas chromatographic analysis, while the RVP value was computed utilizing a new correlation with this quantity at constant temperature. A variety of crude oils were investigated and the results revealed the accuracy of this method. |
