| Abstract: | We report the room temperature solution synthesis of alkyl protected silicon nanocrystals. The nanocrystals are of unusually uniform tetrahedral morphology and of a limited size distribution. The nanocrystals were characterized by transmission and scanning electron microscopy as well as atomic force microscopy. |
