Abstract:We describe herein an optoelectronic butterfly interconnection (OEBI) architecture, which is based on a space-position-logic-encoding (SPLE) scheme , for implementing optieal Parallel computing based on modified signed-digit (MSD) algorithm. A parallel fulladder/subtracter was built by using this OEBI architecture. The effectiveness is verified byboth simulation and experimental results.
