Abstract: | Complexes of the types [Fe(imide)2(Am)2] and [Fe(imide)3(Am)(H2O)](imide = deprotonated malonimide and phthalimide; Am = dipyridyl and o-phenanthroline) have been prepared and characterised on the basis of IR, electronic spectra, conductance, magnetic and Mössbauer studies. The bonding powers of phthalimide and malonimide are almost the same and all the complexes have a distorted octahedral structure. |
