Study of the28Si(d,p)29Si reaction at 3·22 MeV

The differential cross section of the²⁸Si(d,p)²⁹Si reaction at deuteron energy 3·22 MeV has been measured and analyzed including transitions to final states in²⁹Si up to the 5·809 MeV level. Angular distributions are compared with the DWBA and Hauser-Feshbach calculations. Satisfactory agreement is obtained for most of the levels. An attempt is made to explain the angular distribution leading to the excitation of the 4·078 MeV level as a two-step process.
