Abstract: | Summary A combination of gas-chromatography and infrared spectroscopy is described. Samples down to a few micrograms are collected from the gas-chromatograph by a cold trap technique. The collected material is transferred to potassium bromide and is measured in the infrared as a micro-pellet. With amounts of less than 3–4 g ordinate expansion is necessary. By the method both solid and liquid compounds (b.p.>180°C) can be handled. The yield of the total procedure is 60–90%, dependent on the compound under investigation.
