Numerical Investigations into the Stokes Phenomenon. I

A numerical method is given for the computation of the Stokesconstants for second order linear differential equations withan irregular singularity at infinity, a finite number of transitionpoints and a finite number of regular singularities. The method is tested on some differential equations whose Stokesconstants are known analytically.
