The effect of radial diffusion on current generation by electron-cyclotron waves in tokamak plasma

Abstract:The effect of radial diffusion of electrons on current generation by electron-cyclotron waves in a tokamak plasma is studied in the framework of the three-dimensional kinetic model. A numerical solution of the problem is obtained. The results suggest that electron diffusion in the radial direction has a significant effect on the energy spectrum of the excited current.
