Abstract:Thin films of various organic materials have been created by the matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) technique. The principles, advantages, and difficulties of deposition are discussed. The focus is on target preparation, solvents, studied materials, and growth rate. Measured solvent transmissions and the results obtained are reported, and an overview of MAPLE applications is presented.
