Abstract: | Poly(allymethylsilyene-co-benzylidene) is obtained by treatment of allymethyldichlorosilane with α,α-dibromotoluene and magnesium as reducing agent. The polymer reacts with triflic acid under substitution of the allyl group to give the triflate derivative. The conversion of this compound with element hydrogen compounds and triethylamine or with lithium salts leads to numerous new functionally substituted polycarbosilanes. The modified polymers have been characterised by NMR spectroscope (29 Si, 13C,1H). |
