Interference of copropagating and counterpropagating surface waves

In the case of propagation of copropagating and counterpropagating surface waves along the interface of two media, the existence of a substantial difference in the spatial distribution of the energy flux components associated with the interference of active and reactive components of the field was established. The interference flux of the counterpropagating waves that is connected with the reactive components is undamped along the direction of propagation of the waves.
