| Abstract: | We study the field structure of the Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation in planar and cylindrical waveguides filled with a continuous dielectric medium or a uniaxial crystal. It is shown that the Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation has the form of wave packets propagating with the same phase and group velocities. Radiation from a system of charged-particle bunches is considered. |
