| Abstract: | Boundary-value problems for a system of singularly perturbednon-linear ordinary differential equations modelling large deflectionsof thin beams are examined. Using the theory of singularly perturbedboundary value problems we establish the existence of locallyunique solutions and derive asymptotic expansions. |
