| Abstract: | Pulses at 17450 cm?1 absorbed at the peak of the aggregate band are very effective for photobleaching. The large absorption cross sections of the aggregates are ≈ 10?14 cm2. But at 18920 cm?1 intensities three orders of magnitude higher are required for a significant reduction of transmission. Dimers appear to dissociate under strong illumination. |
