Quaternion formulation of lattice dynamics of molecular crystals |

| Abstract: | The use of quaternions to specify rigid-molecule orientation is reviewed. Application of this formalism to lattice dynamics of molecular crystals is developed. Basic formulae for harmonic and anharmonic approximations are summarised. |
