Abstract: | Ammonia cluster ions (NH3)n?2NH+4 (n = 2?8), havevbeen detected by multiphoton ionization (MPI) mass spectroscopy, incorporating both a supersonic nozzle source and an ArB excimer laser. The MPI method reveals that the intensity ratio of NH+4/NH+3 is more than an order of magnitude greater than that in the electron impact mass spectrum. |
