| Abstract: | Pyrolysis of (1-trimethylsilylcyclopropyl)ethylenes affords silyl substituted cyclopentenes in high yield. Subsequent reaction of these products with varied electrophiles forms the basis of a new and versatile five-ring annulation sequence. |
