| Abstract: | The biosynthetic incorporation fo Glucose U-13C6] into the C7N2 unit of A23187 indicated that this functionality is formed by a divergence of the shikimate pathway. The possibility that 2,6-diaminobenzoic acid is a free intermediate inthe biosynthesis of this unit was eliminated. |
