Abstract:At the present,Wavelet transform is a rapidly develop field in image processing、applied mathematics and engineering discipline.It has the characteristics of multi-resolution analysis and has the ability of denote local signal characteristics in the transform domain,It can effectively extract information from signal.This subject use matlab as platform,deeply research the mallet algorithm of wavelet transformation,Aim at one-dimensional discrete sampling signal for filter and re-sampling.and expand into multidimensional signal.According to the algorithm results,wavelet decompose the image,Reconstructing the approximate signals and detail signal.Experimental results show that this method can effectively image decomposition and can be used in image compression.
