| Abstract: | A chiral alcohol,(R)-2-(isopentyloxy)propan-1-ol,was synthesized from(R)-propane-1,2-diol by a three-step reaction of hydroxyl protection at primary alcohol,O-substituted-isoamyl at secondary alcohol and deprotection.The structure was confirmed by NMR and MS. |
