| Abstract: | Introduces "QiQi" and his fellow Baiji's, fresh water dolphins living in Changjian, unique in the word. Describes the characteristics of their sound emission and hearing response, including their ultrasonic as well as audio signals (" clicks" and "whistles") and their auditory sensation area. Described is alo the present situation of their being at the brink of extinction. |
