Jastrow approach to nuclear matter without truncation of the cluster expansion |

| Abstract: | It is shown that an approximate expression in closed form can be obtained for the Jastrow trial energy per particle in nuclear matter. The undesirable truncation of the cluster expansion may thus be avoided. |
