| Abstract: | Thermomodulation measurements were made on thin semitransparent films ot Au at about 20, 70 and 340 K in the range 2 to 5 eV. Comparison of spectra taken at different temperatures allows straightforward interpretation of several structures. A model calculation is introduced to account for Δ?2 lineshape for d bands to Fermi surface transitions. The agreement with the experimental data is very satisfactory. |
