| Abstract: | The Mössbauer effect is used to study the superparamagnetic behaviour of ultrafine Fe3O4 particles as a function of temperature and applied magnetic field. In zero field the disappearance of the hyperfine splitting with increasing temperature is observed. With the application of an external field the hyperfine spectrum is redeveloped. |
