| Abstract: | We investigate the influence of nucleon-nucleon correlations on the parameters of the pion-nucleus optical potential. In the (3, 3) resonance region the corrections can be as large as 30% and their nature is intermediate between well-known high- and low-energy limits. Binding and correlation effects add constructively below the resonance and destructively above. |
