Estimate of the branching to the excited 0+ state in42Ca in the β+-decay of 42Sc |

| Abstract: | The β+-branch of the decay of the 42Sc 0+ ground state to the 1.836 MeV 0+ state in 42Ca is estimated in a 1435 1098 simple Coulomb mixing model, which relates this branch to Coulomb displacement energies in 0+ isotriplets and off-diagonal Coulomb matrix elements. The estimates obtained are very small, ≈ 10?4, which is consistent with current experimental data. |
