Abstract: | The nuclear quadrupole structure of some low J transitions with large splittings has been measured for thionyl chloride (SO35Cl2) and analysed in terms of a first order perturbation. The following nuclear quadrupole coupling constants were obtained: xaa = ?25.01 ± 0.07 MHz, xbb = ?0.03 ± 0.45 MHz and xcc = 25.04 ± 0.45 MHz. |
