16O(p,α0)13N cross-section measurements

Total cross sections for the ${}^{16}\text{O}\text{(}\text{p}\text{, α}{}_0\text{)}{}^{13}\text{N}$ reaction have been measured by observation of the positron decay of the residual ¹³N nuclei. These cross sections, covering the c.m. energy range 5.4 ≦ E ≦ 9.9 MeV, allow determination of reaction rates of astrophysical interest at temperatures in the neighborhood of 4 × 10⁹°K.
