Abstract: | Diffraction spreading and narrowing of a laser beam within a holographic periodic structure were studied numerically and experimentally. We compared two different approaches to solving the diffraction problem for periodic structures. The developed optimized calculation algorithm is useful for numerical simulation of the diffracted field and allows conclusions on spatial behavior properties. Possible applications of light beam propagation control are considered. |
