| Abstract: | The aza‐Wittig reaction of benzophenone‐ or acetophenone 1‐[(triphenylphosphoranylidene)amino]‐ethylidenehydrazone ( 4 ) with aromatic aldehydes provides a new route to 1,2,4‐triazoles 7 via the thermal reaction of the expected azinoimines 5. |
