| Abstract: | N,N′-Diiodo-N,N′-1,2-ethanediylbis(p-tolouenesulphonamide) NIBTS] and catalytic trifluoroacetic acid can be used for the regioselective iodination of aromatic compounds in acetonitrile under mild conditions in excellent yields. |
