| Abstract: | Reactions of potassium acetate and the sodium salt of p-toluenesulfinic acid with acetates of Baylis-Hillman adducts produce substituted allyl acetates and allyl sulfones respectively. Ionic liquids are utilized in place of conventional solvents. |
