AN ASSESSMENT OF THE TOURIST RESOURCES AND THE POSSIBLE EXPLOITATION OF SCENIC TAIMUSHAN

Taimushan is a scenic spot located on the shore of the East China Sea inside Fuding county, Fujian province.The mountain range is composed of granite and its highest peak is 917.3 meters above sea level. Greated by a tetonic fault.Taimushan is characterized by pecular granite peaks and ridges.The eastern portion of the mountain range extends into the sea, creating three beautiful bays, in the northeast of the mountain, the erosion to pogrophy is of scenic values, in the southwest of the mountain is the Jiuli Brook whose rapids and Whitewaters have prospects for tourism and exploitation.Taimushan is abundant in historical sites that have asthetic value. To conclude,Taimushan can be characterized by its combination of "the mountain range, the sea,the river,and historical sites". Scenic Taimushan is located on the southeastern coast of our country. It has an important geographic location. It has significance because it is easily accessible by either lands or sea and has fine environment. It presents profitible conditions for developing tourism.
