| Abstract: | Atomic terms raised from a given electronic configuration were derived by combinatorical mathematics method. The microstate generating function for each set of (M_s, M_L) was obtained according to Pauli principle and combinatory method and expressed with a simple formula. Based on microstate generating function, a term generating function and atomic terms were obtained. The method is suitable for both equivalent and nonequivalent electronic configurations. |
