| Abstract: | Asymmetric Diels-Alder reactions of 1,4-naphthoquinone and 2-acetyl-1,4-naphthoquinone with cyclopentadiene catalyzed by bis(oxazoline)-metal complexes afforded the corresponding Diels-Alder adducts. Moderate levels of enantiomeric excess were obtained and a number of different reaction conditions evaluated. |
